Adrienne Gurman, Founder and CEO of Buzz Generation®, has maintained a leadership role in managing top-level client relationships, social networking, brand awareness and public relations for more than two decades. She has extensive media sales and marketing experience in b2b publishing, including print and digital advertising, for outlets covering the global architectural and entertainment lighting industry.
After graduating from FIT with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing Communications, Adrienne began her career in the advertising sales department at the prestigious The New Yorker
magazine. In the years that followed, she developed strong ties in the lighting and design industries as International Sales Manager at Lighting Dimensions
magazine and Associate Publisher of Lighting & Sound America.
Growing up in New York City in a family of business-owners, Adrienne was born with entrepreneurship in her DNA. Throughout her career in advertising sales and publishing, the desire to own and nurture her own business never faded. In the summer of 2017, she launched Buzz Generation®, a New York City-based firm providing social media and marketing solutions to small to medium-sized businesses. Her clients are an eclectic mix of custom manufacturers, artists, designers, restaurant owners, retailers, health professionals and business consultants. She flourishes while working on an independent level to generate original ideas, but she’s at her best when collaborating with her team to bring those concepts to fruition.
Adrienne is a well-known advocate and volunteer, working diligently to erase the stigma that surrounds mental illness. She is a Spokesperson and Official Blogger for Bring Change to Mind, a non-profit organization co-founded by actress Glenn Close that provides a global forum for people to share their stories and promote acceptance of those affected by a mental health condition. She has been generating buzz for Bring Change to Mind since its inception in 2009.
Always looking forward, Adrienne visualizes fresh and innovative techniques that can be applied to broad-reach marketing and social media platforms. It’s her mission to stay ahead of the curve, to the benefit of her clients, to expand and evolve in relation to the flow and development of emerging technologies. Learning and applying these technological advancements will be imperative to maintaining mind-share and maximizing creative endeavors as the needs of her clientele evolve.
